After the overwhelming response to our first edition, we are proud to announce that the Avantgarde Music Festival returns in 2026!

For over three decades, Avantgarde Music has stood at the forefront of the underground, shaping and supporting artists who redefine the boundaries of extreme music. Once again, we join forces with our trusted partner Occult Booking, the independent agency devoted to extreme and experimental sounds, to bring you a new chapter in this celebration of the avantgarde spirit.

== LINEUP ==

We are honored to reveal the two headliners of the 2026 edition!

🇸🇪 Vinterland: a cult name in Swedish black metal history, whose legacy continues to inspire generations of bands worldwide. In 2026 the band will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their only studio album "Welcome My Last Chapter" with a selection of exclusive gigs throughout Europe, and they chose Avantgarde Music Festival as their Italian stop, which also marks the first Italian gig ever for the Swedes.

🇫🇮 Moonlight Sorcery: one of the most exciting forces in contemporary Finnish black metal, blending ferocity, melody and epic atmospheres into a spellbinding live experience. Moonlight Sorcery only plays a very limited number of shows every year, Avantgarde Music Festival will be their very first Italian gig and one of the few international appearances of the band in 2026.

🇺🇦 Severoth: the atmospheric black metal project of Ukranian musician Illia Rafalskyi, known for its deeply immersive, nature-inspired soundscapes. The festival will also host the official release celebration of the new Severoth studio album, making this performance a truly special and unique occasion.

🇮🇹 Enisum: the Italian post-black metal veterans recently released their latest studio album "Autumn Embrace", and after a number of gigs in central Europe are ready to take over their homeland.

🇺🇸 Pyrrhon: one of the most forward-thinking names in modern extreme metal, delivering a chaotic and cerebral blend of technical death metal and avantgarde intensity.

🏴 Ciemra: the black metal quintet is hard at work on their sophomore studio record and our fest will serve as the official release party. This will also mark the Belarusian band's very first live appearance on Italian soil for the band.

🇮🇹 Devoid of Thought: Italy’s boundary-pushing death metal force, merging technicality and dissonance with a progressive and experimental approach.

🇵🇹 Vøidwomb: the Portuguese quintet will be bringing their occult black metal ritual to Italy for the very first time.

For the second year in a row, a carefully curated lineup that embodies the essence of Avantgarde Music: uncompromising, visionary, and deeply rooted in the underground. The festival will again be held at Legend Club, in the heart of Milan, Italy.

Prepare once again to gather, celebrate, and immerse yourself in a night where darkness, artistry and intensity converge. The underground lives on.
