A visceral inquiry into the actor's truth.

In an industry increasingly crushed by technique and commercial logic, looking back is not an act of nostalgia, but one of pure vision. For the 10th edition of The Retreat, we smash obsolete tropes and put the human being back at the center.

🏛️ ... FROM O’NEILL TO CASSAVETES

We will apply the "Cassavetes system" – the independent cinema pioneer who shook Hollywood with the raw freedom of Faces – to the dramaturgy of Eugene O'Neill, the father of modern American theater. We will rewrite and re-envision their texts, filtering them through the restless sensibility of 3rd-millennium artists.

🌿 AN OPEN SET IN NATURE

The Retreat will transform into an Open Set. You won't just be a performer; you will be an active co-creator in a rebellious collective.

The entire process will be documented step-by-step on video by Luigi Imola (co-founder of Dramatic Arts), integrating camera work directly into our daily acting research and technical analysis.

🧠 THE METHOD: THE TRIADICØ SYSTEM

EuAct brings the Stanislavski method back to its European roots. Through a codified system based on the tripartite structure of Id, Ego, and Self, we will explore the character from their deepest intimacy (Private moment, magic box, psychological gestures) to the macro-structure of the text.

💼 ALL-INCLUSIVE FORMULA

- 12 nights of accommodation included (August 16-28)

- Full board (Meals included, except on break days)

- Intensive seminar + Psycho-physical training

- On-set videographer always present

In un mercato dello spettacolo sempre più schiacciato dalla tecnica e dalle logiche commerciali, guardare indietro non è un atto di nostalgia, ma di pura visione. Per la decima edizione del Ritiro, abbattiamo i vecchi stilemi e mettiamo di nuovo l'essere umano al centro.

🏛️ ... DA O’NEILL A CASSAVETES

Applicheremo il "sistema Cassavetes" – il pioniere del cinema indipendente che scosse Hollywood con la purezza e la libertà del film Faces – alla drammaturgia di Eugene O'Neill, l'inventore del teatro moderno americano. Riscriveremo e riprogrammeremo i testi filtrandoli attraverso l'inquietudine e la sensibilità di noi artisti del terzo millennio.

🌿 UN SET APERTO NELLA NATURA

I luoghi del Ritiro diventeranno una fucina di co-creazione. Non sarai un semplice esecutore, ma parte attiva di un collettivo ribelle.

L'esperienza sarà documentata passo dopo passo in video da Luigi Imola (co-fondatore di Dramatic Arts), integrando la ripresa direttamente nella ricerca attoriale e nelle sessioni quotidiane di analisi tecnica.

🧠 IL METODO: IL SISTEMA TRIADICØ

EuAct riporta il metodo Stanislavskij alle sue radici europee. Attraverso un sistema di lavoro codificato basato sulla struttura tripartita di Io, Ego e Sé, indagheremo il personaggio in ogni suo aspetto, dall'intimità (Momento privato, magic box, gesti psicologici) alla macrostruttura del testo.

💼 FORMULA TUTTO INCLUSO
