Ilienses Tree- (Atmospheric Melodic Doom / Death - IT)

Ilienses Tree was formed in Cagliari, Sardinia (Mediterranean Sea, Italy), in 2013. After several line-up changes, the band reached its current formation, featuring Maurizio Meloni (vocals), Claudio Kalb (bass guitar), Simone Milia (guitar), Matteo Maccioni (guitar), and Giammarco Vacca (drums).

The band’s name refers to the ancient Ilienses people, a pagan population of shepherd warriors who inhabited Sardinia around 2000 BC, during the Bronze Age.

In October 2014, Ilienses Tree released their first demo, “2014 B.C.”, and, during the same month, they performed at the third edition of the Doom Over Karalis festival.

In 2016, the band opened for Italian Doom Metal pioneers Novembre and, later that year, performed at Doom Over Karalis V, featuring Lord Vicar as the festival headliner.

In 2017, Ilienses Tree played two important support shows, opening for Moonspell in May and Dark Tranquillity in June. In July of the same year, the band signed with Maltese label Maculata Anima Rec for the release of their EP “EDDA”, issued in September 2017.

In January 2020, the band released their first full-length album, “Till Autumn Comes” (Maculata Anima Rec, 2020).

In late 2025, Ilienses Tree signed with Belgian label Meuse Music Records, which released their second full-length album, “Toward the Storm” (MMR075), on May 1st, 2026.

Throughout their career, Ilienses Tree have shared the stage with numerous bands, including Faal, Irreverence, Black Capricorn, Novembre, Lord Vicar, Moonspell, Dark Tranquillity, Caronte, Fuoco Fatuo, and Forgotten Tomb.

The band’s sound can be described as Atmospheric Doom Death/Black Metal, blending heavy, melancholic atmospheres with a dark and introspective approach. Their music explores themes centered on introspection, reflection, and the fears, doubts, and uncertainties that shape our world and the human experience.

SAMSARA is an atmospheric doom metal band from western Slovakia, active since 2009. Inspired by the cycle of birth and death, they are led to the dark, slow and hypnotic waters of doom, built on crushing riffs, melancholic atmosphere and deeply emotional themes.

Their debut When The Soul Leaves The Body (2017) also gained attention for the nomination for the Radio Head Awards. The latest album Charon’s Lullaby brings four songs exploring life, death and the transition between them. The band’s work is intended for fans of atmospheric doom metal in the spirit of My Dying Bride, Shape of Despair, Swallow the Sun...etc.

Illusions Play (Atmospheric Doom / Death - TUR)

llusions Play is an atmospheric doom/death metal band from Istanbul, Türkiye.

The band has released two full-length albums and blends heavy doom/death riffs with melancholic melodies, deep growls, clean vocal layers and occasional female vocals. Their music also carries elements of atmospheric black metal, creating a dark, cosmic and immersive sound.

Their live shows are designed to be an experience rather than a standard concert. Performing as cloaked silhouettes surrounded by dry branches, ritualistic elements, and piercing dark lights, the band brings a heavy theatrical edge to the stage.

Illusions Play brings cosmic emptiness, inner collapse and melancholic beauty into an intense live experience.

In recent years, the band has performed with Shape of Despair, October Tide and Psychonaut 4, and has also appeared at Portals Metal Fest.

When Nothing Remains (Symphonic Doom / Death - SE)

THE SWEDISH MASTERS OF SYMPHONIC DOOM DEATH METAL WITH MEMBERS FROM BANDS LIKE NOX AUREA, THE COLD EXISTENCE, RIMFROST, DRACONIAN.

The idea of When Nothing Remains was born in 2010 when Jan Sallander and Peter Laustsen quit Nox Aurea and wanted to create something very dark and more emotional then before.

In 2011 Jonas Toxen jumped in for the drums and Johan Ericson (Draconian, Doom: VS, Shadowgarden) for the clean vocals, mixing and mastering the first album As All Torn Asunder that was released in 2012 on the Russian label Solitude Productions.

The following album Thy Dark Serenity (2013), Jan & Peter invited Johan Ericson from Draconian to mix and sing clean vocals and also Jerry Torstensson, drummer of Draconian, to record drums on the album.

For In Memoriam (2016), Jan & Peter this time invited Val Atra Niteris from Frowning to record drums.

In 2024 the band signed with The Circle Music for the release of their new album Echoes of Eternal Night in November 2025.

This album has a darker approach than previous albums; the new line-up is shown below.

Blazing Eternity (Atmospheric Gothic Melodic Doom Death - DK)

Danish doom/gothic metal combo Blazing Eternity released their new album “A Certain End Of Everything” on April 19th 2024 -this was the first new album since 2003 from one of Denmark’s pioneer bands within the melodic doom/goth metal genre.

“A Certain End Of Everything” consists of 7 new tracks, including the singles “One Thousand Lights” and the title track.

The music has the well-known Blazing Eternity atmosphere and fingerprint – a melancholic, epic and atmospheric doom/gothic metal mix with weeping guitars and harsh vocals. The comeback album was bleak and melancholic, but with a certain beauty shining in the darkness – and with very personal lyrics dealing with death, depression, and personal tragedies. But with a gleam of hope in the end…

Fans of early Katatonia, My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost will not be disappointed.

“A Certain End Of Everything” was written and arranged by original members Peter Mesnickow, Morten Kroll Lybecker and Lars Riis Korsholm – with additional synth arrangements by Flemming Kaspersen from electronic act Delayscape.

Blazing Eternity was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1993 and released two successful demo tapes in 1996 and 1998 leading to a deal with German Prophecy Productions. This resulted in the two albums ”Times And Unknown Waters” (2000) and ”A World To Drown In” (2003) as well as performances on big festivals such as Roskilde Festival and Wave Gotik Treffen.

After 2004, the band were not active anymore – until 2011/2012 where Blazing Eternity reformed for 4 concerts in Denmark and Germany.

After this, the band went into hiatus but secretly started working on new material in 2018. But with big challenges in the process. First the death of vocalist Peter Mesnickow’s long-time wife Lilja, and secondly the death of Blazing Eternity live-keyboardist Jens Hansen. Two events that have affected the songs on “A Certain End Of Everything” a lot.

Recorded with Jacob Gundel (Withering Surface, Invocator etc). Mixed and mastered by Markus Stock Schwadorf (Empyrium, The Vision Bleak, Alcest, etc), who also produced the first two albums by Blazing Eternity.

The album received a lot of praise and stunning reviews from critics - -a.o. ‘album of the year’ in Rock Hard France. Blazing Eternity played several shows in support of the album, on festivals such as Prophecy Fest (D), Doomship (D), Metal Magic (DK), Aalborg Metal Fest (DK), Næstved Metal Fest (DK), as well as supporting legendary Candlemass at a sold-out show in Roskilde, Denmark.

At the moment, Blazing Eternity is finishing the work on songs for a new album, which will be recorded in winter 2026, and to be released in June 2027.
